You are very welcome, Gloria. I think it takes guts to self-publish a children’s picture book. I want to acknowledge those authors who have done it well. Spread the word! (Have you heard that a few times? Lol!)

My self-pub children’s book does not currently have any illustrations, no entry for me? As per guideline #5, right?

Hi Aviva I am so glad to learn about your work. I have published two children’s books and am currently finalizing my 3rd book. I would have loved to join your contest but my books are 24 pages and have more than 1500 words.
This is all a new experience for me and have much more to learn. I need advice on making my hard cover books into ebooks.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful advice and suggestions that you post. What a big heart:)!

Thanks for the kind words, Melba ๐Ÿ™‚ You’ve given me an idea for an article in my “Birth of a Children’s Book” blog series on publishing an eBook versus a print book. I’ll add that to my list of topics.

  • What a great way to start off the New Year! Thank you for giving fellow authors this opportunity.
